Sanitation Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership in sanitation, plant hygiene, and pest control to ensure food safety.
• Drive the strategy, development, and sustainability of the cleaning and sanitation program.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of contractors and associates to enable reliable product delivery.
• Act as a technical expert for implementing new technologies and processes to reduce microbiological risk.
• Lead root cause analysis for plant hygiene issues and incidents.
• Manage the Master Sanitation Schedule, including governance and auditing.
• Serve as an active member of the site’s Food Safety/HACCP team.
• Support plant profitability by developing efficient cleaning methods and identifying operational savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quality-related Sciences (Engineering, Applied Sciences, or Food Science preferred).
• 5-8 years of experience driving robust sanitation programs in CPG manufacturing.
• 3 years of line management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams.
• Working knowledge of Food and Drug Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Strong understanding of microbiological organisms and their impact on sanitary design.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with SDS, PPE, chemical, and safety programs.
• Knowledge of allergen management, chemical cleaning, and cleaning validation.
