Sanitation Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance
• Maintain and write detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment
• Maintain and update master cleaning schedule according to GMP and Factor guidelines
• Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sanitation team for career progression
• Participate in audits and coordinate pre-operational inspections with QA Management
• Ensure all safety requirements are met, including proper chemical storage, MSDS, and PPE

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related business equivalent
• 2-4 years of plant quality, food safety, or sanitation experience
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Environmental sanitation programs
• Understanding of basic microbiological principles
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with third-party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, or USDA
