About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities and provide coaching and guidance to the sanitation team
- Oversee and perform sanitation tasks including waste removal, equipment sanitization, and floor cleaning
- Train new employees on standard operating procedures, safety, GMP, SQF, and PPE policies
- Maintain the facility at SQF cleanliness levels and ensure work areas are orderly
- Perform routine sanitation equipment maintenance
- Report food safety sanitation issues to the immediate supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of related experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in basic math and English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
- Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts in a manufacturing environment with exposure to cool temperatures and loud noise
