About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the workflow completion of the overnight sanitation team, including scheduling and training
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, floors, walls, and other surfaces
- Ensure the team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and HACCP guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning logs and chemical usage
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations (FDA, USDA)
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- At least 1-2 years in an elevated or leadership role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekends or holidays
- Proficient in the use of sanitation chemicals and equipment in an industrial setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in cold or wet environments
