Sanitation Associate

Responsibilities

• Break down cardboard and load into the compactor
• Keep production floors clean of debris
• Sweep and mop floors as needed
• Dispose of waste generated by production lines
• Use approved chemicals to clean and disinfect surfaces
• Refill soap and hand towels in bathrooms and lunchrooms
• Complete daily sanitation paperwork per FSQA requirements
• Assist on production lines as needed
• Perform general cleaning of all facility areas
• Comply with OH&S acts and regulations
• Use personal protective equipment and report workplace hazards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year experience in food processing, manufacturing, or service industry
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, including bending, twisting, and walking
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Sanitation or Janitorial work
