Sanitation Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping including sweeping floors and cleaning debris
• Clean up standing water and break down boxes for recycling
• Conduct scheduled cleaning of freezers, ripening chambers, restrooms, and lunchrooms
• Use a forklift to empty garbage and monitor for pest control issues
• Complete daily SQF inspection logs
• Maintain HACCP standards in collaboration with QA and Food Safety Officers
• Use cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, sponges, and scrubbers
• Assist in training new hires

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70lbs (35-50lbs on average)
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment up to 85% of the time
• Ability to work in freezer environments with below-zero temperatures
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English for food safety documentation
• Safe handling of industrial-grade cleaners
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of previous warehouse or janitorial experience
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
