Sanitarian

Responsibilities

• Investigate health and safety in business environments and enforce regulations
• Observe employee behavior to ensure disease prevention protocols are followed
• Educate the public and individuals on methods to reduce contamination
• Develop protocols to maintain public and industrial hygiene standards
• Enforce existing health regulations in community practice
• Monitor waste disposal and handling in hospitals and public sectors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Biology, or a related major
• In-depth understanding of sanitation practices, infection control, and health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in environmental health, hygiene, or industrial safety
• Familiarity with healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ability to adapt to changing regulations and handle unexpected sanitation challenges
