Sample Receiving Technician

Responsibilities

• Package various bottle types into kits for client water and soil sample collection
• Receive and inspect incoming samples for proper containers, temperatures, and preservatives
• Accurately log sample data into the laboratory LIMS system
• Transport samples to appropriate storage locations and manage disposal of expired samples
• Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, QA manuals, and client service protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required (B.S. in Chemistry or related field preferred)
• Strong data entry and typing skills with high attention to detail
• Familiarity with chemical symbols and general scientific terminology
• Basic knowledge of EPA methodologies
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours
