Sample Receipt Officer

Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, and check incoming samples for accuracy and condition
• Register samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Perform accurate and high-quality data entry
• Liaise with clients to resolve sample receipt or logistics queries
• Communicate incoming workloads to section heads
• Prepare and dispatch bottle orders
• Sub-sample and filter samples as required
• Coordinate subcontracting of samples and organize freight
• Manage warehouse storage and compliant disposal of samples
• Investigate client and internal queries
• Ensure compliance with Quarantine Approved Premise requirements
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives

Requirements

• Scientific qualification (Diploma or Degree) or solid laboratory experience
• Experience using a LIMS
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training or experience in laboratory management
• Formal training or experience in people management
