Sample Processing Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare plasma units for frozen storage and collect samples for testing.
• Prepare frozen plasma units and samples for shipment following established protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance on freezers, including monitoring temperatures and removing ice buildup.
• Organize plasma boxes and documentation for scheduled shipments and assist with loading.
• Manage supplies and assist the management team with inventory control procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain general cleanliness of the work area to ensure a professional environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for the entire work shift in a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception.
• Ability to work in a cold environment ranging from -20 C to -40 C.
• Ability to perform frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory, hospital, or other regulated environment.
