Sample Preparer

Responsibilities

• Unloading, loading, sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks
• Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form
• Milling samples and transferring sub-samples to sample packets
• Maintaining numerical order and following quality control procedures to avoid contamination
• Offloading and reconciling sample and stock deliveries
• Managing sample clearances and collecting samples from the storage yard

Requirements

• Physically fit for required tasks
• Ability to work day and night shifts
• Strong attention to detail and initiative
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet site access requirements including training and medicals

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift License
• Previous laboratory experience
