Sample Preparation Technician

Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, transfer and dry mineral samples
• Execute crushing, pulverizing and screening of geological materials
• Conduct routine quality checks including particle size analysis and dust loss
• Enter QC results into SLIMS and maintain work order documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized workbench and follow disposal procedures
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report any defects to supervisors
• Keep accurate records in notebooks and equipment maintenance logs

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow strict safety standards
• Intermediate English language skills
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Logical and practical approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in an industrial, laboratory, or field setting
