Sample Preparation Technician

Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, transfer, and dry geological samples according to work orders
• Execute crushing, pulverizing, and screening of geological materials
• Conduct routine quality checks including particle size analysis and dust loss measurements
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and enter results into LIMS
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench area
• Inspect equipment regularly and report malfunctions
• Keep detailed records and notebooks including maintenance documentation
• Support other laboratory areas as needed
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and Code of Integrity

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 years of relevant laboratory or sample preparation experience
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Ability to follow technical work instructions
• Physical capability for manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and extended hours
• Strong safety-conscious mindset
