Sample Preparation Technician

Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, transfer and dry geological samples
• Execute crushing, pulverizing and screening of geological materials
• Conduct routine quality checks including particle size analysis and dust loss
• Enter QC results into SLIMS and maintain work order documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized workbench and follow disposal procedures
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report any defects to supervisors
• Maintain accurate records, notebooks, and equipment maintenance logs

Requirements

• High school Diploma
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills
• Ability to perform routine bench tests
• Willingness to learn new analytical tests and instrumentation
• Ability to follow work instructions accurately and safely
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and overnight shifts
