About the role
Responsibilities
- Unpack, sort, transfer and dry geological samples
- Execute crushing, pulverizing and screening of geological materials
- Conduct routine quality checks including particle size analysis and dust loss
- Enter QC results into SLIMS and maintain work order documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench and follow disposal procedures
- Ensure equipment is maintained and report any defects to supervisors
- Maintain accurate records, notebooks, and equipment maintenance logs
Requirements
- High school Diploma
- 0-1 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education
- Strong analytical and mechanical skills
- Ability to perform routine bench tests
- Willingness to learn new analytical tests and instrumentation
- Ability to follow work instructions accurately and safely
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and overnight shifts
