About the role
Responsibilities
- Independently weigh prepared pulp for the analysis of geological samples using analytical balances
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following established safety rules and ALS best practices
- Inspect prepared pulp samples for homogeneity and report quality concerns or equipment problems to management
- Use Webview software to locate, transport, and update the disposition of client samples
- Wash labware using correct procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Safely dispose of sample solution waste according to lab protocols
- Recommend ideas for safety, quality, or productivity improvements
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience in a production-oriented environment
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and good hand-eye coordination
- Basic computer skills for using software applications
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to sit or stand at a computer for up to 7.5 hours
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
