Sample Preparation Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a diverse workforce of 50–120 staff at the Zillmere facility
• Drive performance management, succession planning, and professional development
• Oversee site budgets, cost management, and commercial performance
• Manage day-to-day site operations, including facilities, assets, and safety
• Build and nurture strong relationships with mining and mineral exploration clients
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workflows and turnaround times

• Proven excellence in people leadership with experience managing large teams
• Strong performance management skills and ability to lead constructive conversations
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong client focus and ability to manage stakeholder expectations
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of site operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sample preparation techniques for geochemistry samples
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience in a lab or processing environment
• Background in mining services, resources, or analytical laboratory environments
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary or high-volume workforces
