Sample Management Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack sample coolers and containers
• Verify and record sample receipt temperature
• Perform preservation checks on aqueous samples
• Create jobs and generate bottle labels using LIMS
• Apply sample labels to containers
• Transfer samples between storage areas and laboratory departments
• Prepare client bottle kits
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Dispose of expired samples
• Communicate sample information to Client Services and lab operations
• Adhere to lab and sample management SOPs
• Provide customer service and greet clients

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Advanced English language skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs constantly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an environmental laboratory
• Associate degree in a science-related field
