Sample Management Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack sample coolers and containers, documenting all incoming materials
• Verify and record sample temperatures upon receipt
• Perform preservation checks on aqueous samples
• Create jobs, enter bottle records, and generate labels using LIMS
• Label sample containers and ensure proper identification
• Transfer samples between reception, storage, and laboratory departments
• Prepare and ship sample coolers and packages
• Assemble client bottle kits
• Maintain clear, complete, and compliant documentation
• Remove historical samples and dispose of expired materials
• Communicate sample details to Client Services and lab teams
• Follow all SOPs and safety procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Associate degree in a science-related field preferred
• Experience in an environmental laboratory preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Strong English language, math, and reasoning skills
• Strong computer skills and comfort with digital systems
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50+ pounds frequently
