Sample Management Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standardized procedures for sample intake, storage, tracking, and distribution
• Manage Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to maintain sample integrity and traceability
• Lead, train, and develop the Sample Management team to operate with precision
• Partner with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to align sample management practices
• Use data to troubleshoot discrepancies, root-cause logistical issues, and resolve quality concerns
• Manage scheduling, performance requirements, and operational budgets
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (GMP, GLP, ISO) and HIPAA/PHI privacy policies

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field
• 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of team management experience
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Experience with Molecular Biology, GMP, and Quality System Regulation (QSR)
• Strong Excel and data management software experience
• Excellent pipetting and wet lab operations abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience with biorepository sample management
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in sample handling
