Sample Login Technician

Responsibilities

• Log and track the receipt and shipment of all environmental samples into and out of the laboratory
• Verify incoming samples against Chain of Custody (COC) documentation and resolve discrepancies
• Assign lot numbers in the Lab Management System and distribute paperwork to Project Managers
• Label and distribute samples to appropriate laboratory departments for analysis
• Prepare sample bottle kits for client delivery in accordance with EPA and DOT requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Manage inventory of supplies and ship empty coolers back to clients or other laboratories

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school Chemistry coursework
• Valid state-issued driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (samples may be in coolers packed with ice)
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist for the duration of a shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or Biology
• Basic laboratory experience
• Experience with computers, including Word Processing and shipping systems
• Strong data entry, mathematics, and organizational skills
• Professional working proficiency in English
