Sample Handler

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of samples from receiving and internal distribution through lab testing to final dispatch and dispositioning
• Check samples against specific requirements and escalate any issues to the Project team
• Ensure all samples are managed in compliance with UL Quality and accreditation process requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure samples are ready for testing and stored in correct locations
• Communicate with internal customers regarding sample returns via phone and email
• Support laboratory, engineering, and shipping/receiving teams with various tasks
• Maintain an organized, safe, clean, and productive work area, including periodic inventory of storage areas
• Report any lost, missing, or damaged samples and assist in research and resolution

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift operation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Ability to safely use hand and small power tools, such as saws and drills
• Physical ability to stand, reach, stoop, bend, walk, and lift/carry objects up to 60 lbs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
