SAM Specialist SAP

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in SAM operations, providing advice on complex software licensing and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs) specifically for SAP.
• Manage SAP licensing concepts, including indirect usage rules and product use rights.
• Utilize SAP4Me and SAP System Measurement Tools such as LAW and USSM to ensure accurate self-declaration metrics.
• Provide cost transparency for software contracts and ensure fair charge allocation to Business Units and Service owners.
• Proactively identify initiatives to achieve software-related savings and mitigate compliance risks.
• Play a key role in complex software contract negotiations, liaising with external vendors, legal, and sourcing teams.
• Support day-to-day activities of the global SAM team and maintain a collaborative stakeholder community.

Requirements

• In-depth and proven knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) operations and competencies.
• Expertise in SAP licensing concepts, indirect usage, and product use rights.
• Hands-on experience navigating SAP4Me and SAP System Measurement Tools (LAW, USSM).
• Strong analytical skills with high financial and commercial acumen.
• Proven negotiation skills with both external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to process complex data within a large-scale global organizational environment.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
