SAM Specialist Microsoft

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft enterprise software, providing advice on complex licensing topics and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs).
• Manage Microsoft licensing concepts and product use rights for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Utilize tools such as Azure Active Directory, CMDB, Intune, and ServiceNow to track and measure software usage.
• Provide cost transparency for software contracts and ensure fair charge allocation to Business Units and Service owners.
• Drive initiatives to achieve software-related savings and develop best practices to improve SAM service delivery.
• Lead complex software contract negotiations and collaborate with legal, sourcing, and external vendor teams.
• Identify and remediate compliance risks while ensuring adherence to budget and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Microsoft enterprise software licensing and operations.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Intune.
• Experience working with CMDB and ServiceNow platforms.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to process complex data in a global environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• High level of commercial acumen and attention to detail.
