Salon Hair Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed hair stylists with client preparation, including shampooing, conditioning, and scalp treatments
• Perform basic blow-drying services under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and salon areas
• Prepare and organize hair care products, tools, and accessories for daily use
• Support stylists during appointments by managing towels, capes, and styling products
• Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
• Follow proper sanitation protocols for tools and equipment disinfection
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow

Requirements

• 0–1 year of relevant experience in a salon or beauty environment
• Proficiency in shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying techniques
• Solid understanding of basic hair care principles and product knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and client safety
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
• Willingness to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment
