About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain end-to-end Salesforce technical architectures across Education, Experience, Marketing, Service, and Data Clouds
  • Architect the Salesforce 'Virtual Data Lake' to ensure secure data orchestration between Salesforce and legacy systems
  • Produce detailed Technical Design Documents (TDDs), solution diagrams, and architecture artifacts
  • Lead technical fit-gap analyses to determine optimal placement of institutional capabilities within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for external implementation partners to prevent technical debt
  • Design Salesforce-side integrations using Flows, APIs, and event-driven patterns
  • Conduct trade-off analyses between native configuration, custom extensions, and enterprise integration

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 9 years of related experience in IT delivery and architecture
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Salesforce Application/System Architect certification
  • Advanced expertise in OmniStudio, Flow, Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release governance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT delivery and architecture roles
  • 7+ years of experience designing and leading large-scale Salesforce implementations
  • Experience in complex, federated, or regulated environments, such as higher education or the public sector
  • Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, or Agentforce Specialist certifications
