Salesforce Release Manager

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize release management lifecycles across development, testing, staging, and production environments
• Establish and enforce release governance frameworks including change control, versioning, rollback strategies, and audit traceability
• Integrate release processes with CI/CD pipelines using DevOps toolchains such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
• Ensure releases comply with federal security standards including NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and VA security controls
• Coordinate across engineering, QA, product, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to maintain release alignment
• Maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and risk registers
• Lead go/no-go release decisions based on readiness criteria and risk assessments

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps Engineering, or Software Delivery Leadership
• Experience in Salesforce with Copado
• Experience managing complex, multi-team release cycles in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub
• Experience using Copado for branching strategies, user stories, deployments, back promotions, and release planning
• Familiarity with Copado CI/CD capabilities including automated testing, quality gates, and pipeline management
• Experience managing Salesforce deployments across multiple environments
• Understanding of Salesforce metadata, source control, and package-based deployment methodologies
• Experience supporting change management, audit traceability, and release governance within regulated environments
• Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate remediation activities
