Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for SFCC B2C Commerce projects
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce solutions aligned with business requirements
• Review and govern technical designs, code quality, and implementation best practices
• Drive integrations with third-party systems such as OMS, CRM, Payment Gateways, ERP, PIM, Loyalty, and Marketing platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners
• Perform technical estimations, solution reviews, and risk assessments
• Support production issue resolution, performance optimization, and platform stability initiatives
• Mentor and guide developers and technical leads across projects
• Ensure adherence to SFCC best practices, coding standards, and release governance
• Participate in client discussions, architecture workshops, and technical roadmap planning

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware / SFCC B2C)
• Expertise in SFRA architecture, cartridges, controllers, ISML, OCAPI, SCAPI, hooks, and job frameworks
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs, and integration patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and deployment processes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and serverless integrations
• Ability to prepare architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and integration specifications
• Good understanding of ecommerce concepts including catalog, checkout, promotions, inventory, and order management
• Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composable commerce or headless architecture
• Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem products such as Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Experience Cloud
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks
• SFCC certifications
