About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and direct customers to appropriate branch staff
- Verify, update, and process customer orders, payments, and invoicing
- Schedule customer deliveries and prepare shipping documents
- Process end of day cashiering duties, deposits, and daily balancing
- Perform recordkeeping, system entries, and process vendor invoices
- Review and process tax exemption certificates for sales/use tax compliance
- Monitor and verify processes for errors to ensure accuracy
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to process financial and administrative transactions accurately
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of state tax laws as they apply to material transactions
- Previous experience in administrative or financial processing
