Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, knowledgeable, and compassionate service to pets and pet parents
• Mentor and support new or junior associates by reinforcing best practices and store standards
• Promote the health, safety, and proper care of all animals in accordance with company policies
• Assist customers in selecting products and services that best meet their pets' needs
• Support store operations including merchandising, inventory replenishment, and visual standards
• Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately while handling cash and transactions
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and support leadership with special projects

Requirements

• 1+ years of retail experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills and professionalism when handling customer concerns
• Basic math skills and experience with cash handling
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a specialty retail environment
• Passion for animals and existing knowledge of pet care and nutrition
