About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth
  • Research customer business needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions
  • Develop and deliver sales bids, proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Evaluate market trends and provide value-added information regarding product innovations and competitors
  • Manage customer accounts by answering questions regarding pricing, availability, and product use
  • Drive personal vehicle to visit customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings
  • Coordinate with the transportation department to manage deliveries and troubleshoot order issues
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing sales budgets, reports, and maintaining sales records

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts OR HSD/GED with 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
  • Current automobile insurance with required liability limits
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to reside or relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef
  • Bi-lingual skills
