About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet those needs
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on their specific goals
  • Provide product information, practical training, and answer customer questions regarding availability and use
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot order process issues such as out-of-stock items
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable in coordination with the credit department
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing sales budgets, reports, quotes, and maintaining sales records
  • Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef
  • Bi-lingual skills
