About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect new business and manage existing accounts within the Protective & Marine market
- Develop and execute weekly selling plans and territory strategies to grow business
- Conduct product demonstrations and support customer application requirements
- Identify sales leads and follow through on opportunities provided by facility personnel
- Collect territory information to estimate customer potential and market trends
- Manage customer complaints and drive them to resolution
- Maintain disciplined pre-call planning and daily activity to maximize territory coverage
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Willingness to travel at least 25% within the Western South Florida territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business
- Three years of B2B sales experience specifically within the coatings industry
- NACE or SSPC Certifications
- Proven success as a Commercial Branch Manager or Sales Representative in a large territory
