About the role
Responsibilities
- Travel to local college campuses to sell textbooks and educational software to faculty
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers through product demonstrations
- Coordinate onboarding and training for digital products
- Use Salesforce to plan sales activities and maintain accurate databases
- Provide feedback on competition and market trends
- Manage the allocated expense budget
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with technology and basic applications software
- Valid driver's license for daily territory travel
- Ability to travel for national and regional meetings
- Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week during peak seasons
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct outside sales experience
- Publishing industry experience
- Strong adaptability in fast-changing markets
- Creativity in sales approach using data-driven insights or AI tools
