About the role
Responsibilities
- Generate new sales by developing leads, recruiting new surgeons, and qualifying prospects
- Grow existing Kyphon business and identify new market opportunities
- Implement approved marketing strategies and create annual business plans with quarterly updates
- Manage the assigned territory autonomously to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Respond to customer complaints and maintain up-to-date customer records
- Stay informed on competitor product offerings and merchandising practices
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows
- Adhere to all company policies and conduct business in an ethical manner
Requirements
- High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant sales or clinical experience in medical device, Medtech, or healthcare
- OR Associates Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
- Ability to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory, including potential overnight travel
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Ortho, Spine, or Operating Room (O.R.) environments
- Proven ability to partner with surgeons to sell new devices or procedures
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, specifically the spine
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working independently with a high degree of accountability
