About the role
Responsibilities
- Maximize existing business with current customers and develop new accounts in Specialty Retail segments
- Introduce customers to new products and marketing campaigns
- Present growth initiatives such as ads, spiffs, demos, and promotions to management
- Work closely with key distributors to maximize distribution capabilities and manage costs
- Collaborate with distributor reps and broker networks, providing training and customer ride-alongs
- Regularly present new items to the customer base and manage territory sample spend
- Participate in regional and national food shows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Existing relationships within the specialty food sales field in the target region
- Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and closing deals
- Ability to travel up to 75% within the Bay Area to South Monterey territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong sales skills and deep product knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and strategic thinker with a strong sense of urgency
