About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage specific accounts within the Specialty Retail segments to maximize existing business and develop new accounts
- Drive profitable sales growth, maintain budgets, and manage new product placements and promotional activities
- Work closely with key distributors, broker networks, and distributor reps to maximize distribution capabilities
- Conduct business planning reviews and secure quarterly Distributor sales reports
- Present new items to the customer base and manage territory sample spend
- Participate in regional and national food shows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Existing relationships within the specialty food sales field in the target region
- Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and closing deals
- Ability to travel up to 75% within the Bay Area to South Monterey territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong sales skills and deep product knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and strategic thinker with a strong sense of urgency
