About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage specific accounts within the Specialty Retail segments to maximize existing business and develop new accounts
  • Drive profitable sales growth, maintain budgets, and manage new product placements and promotional activities
  • Work closely with key distributors, broker networks, and distributor reps to maximize distribution capabilities
  • Conduct business planning reviews and secure quarterly Distributor sales reports
  • Present new items to the customer base and manage territory sample spend
  • Participate in regional and national food shows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Existing relationships within the specialty food sales field in the target region
  • Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and closing deals
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the Bay Area to South Monterey territory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong sales skills and deep product knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and strategic thinker with a strong sense of urgency
