Sales Representative - Automotive Finishes

Responsibilities

• Initiate and cultivate relationships with prospective and existing jobbers and end users through targeted sales outreach.
• Use consultative selling and value-selling principles to develop strategies for growing sales and profitability.
• Conduct competitive product comparisons to identify market strengths and weaknesses.
• Perform product demonstrations and provide technical information regarding automotive refinishing products and application techniques.
• Support customers with mixing system configuration, inventory management, color verification, and field color formulations.
• Address and resolve customer complaints to ensure effective outcomes.
• Manage expenses and sales activities effectively while traveling up to 75% of the time.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid unrestricted Driver's License.
• At least one (1) year of professional sales experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in the paint and coatings industry.
• Two (2) years of experience in outside sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Experience conducting product demonstrations.
