Sales Representative - Automotive Finishes

Responsibilities

• Initiate and cultivate relationships with prospective and existing jobbers and end users through targeted sales outreach.
• Conduct competitive product comparisons to identify market strengths and weaknesses.
• Leverage value selling principles to develop strategies for growing sales and profitability across key accounts.
• Perform product demonstrations and provide technical information regarding automotive refinishing products and application techniques.
• Assess customer needs through a consultative sales process to develop tailored solutions.
• Support customers with mixing system configuration, inventory management, and color verification.
• Manage expense control and resolve customer complaints effectively.
• Travel up to 75% of the time to meet with clients and manage territory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one (1) year of professional sales experience.
• Valid unrestricted Driver's License.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the paint and coatings industry.
• Two or more years of experience in outside sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Experience conducting professional product demonstrations.
