Responsibilities

  • Build, hire, and scale the mid-market AE team from the ground up
  • Coach and develop the team through deal strategy, pipeline reviews, and forecast management
  • Drive team performance and accountability for quota attainment and sales velocity
  • Maintain a personal book of business to model best practices and stay close to customers
  • Develop and refine the mid-market sales playbook, including outbound motions and demo narratives
  • Partner with GTM leadership to define ICP, pricing, and territory assignments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to shape roadmap priorities
  • Implement sales process rigor including CRM discipline and deal inspection cadences

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of B2B SaaS sales experience
  • At least 2 years managing and developing high-performing AE teams
  • Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams at early-stage companies (Seed to Series B)
  • Deep understanding of full-cycle sales for technical or workflow automation solutions
  • Experience coaching complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with C-suite decision-makers
  • Strong player-coach mentality with willingness to carry a book of business
  • Ability to work from the San Francisco HQ five days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management experience at high-velocity SaaS companies
  • Experience scaling AE teams from 0 to 5+ reps
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDDIC or MEDDPICC
  • Proficiency with modern sales tech stacks including Salesforce, Outreach, and Gong
  • Comfort coaching technical demos involving APIs or automation platforms
