About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth across a defined UK territory, targeting machine builders and manufacturing end users
- Leverage technical engineering knowledge to provide solution-based selling strategies
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships and partnerships
- Act as a liaison between customers and engineering teams to communicate technical requirements
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the manufacturing engineering environment
- Maintain a thorough understanding of how equipment, components, and systems integrate into production processes
- Deliver effective sales presentations and lead negotiations to close deals
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical sales within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong engineering or technical understanding, including the ability to interpret drawings or specifications
- Demonstrated experience selling to machine builders (OEMs) and manufacturing businesses
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, commercially viable solutions
- Excellent relationship-building skills with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently and maintain accurate forecasting
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
