About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute a full end-to-end sales cycle in the higher-education market to build product fluency and buyer insight.
  • Drive pipeline hygiene and forecasting through weekly reviews and strong CRM discipline.
  • Coach and develop the sales team through structured opportunity inspections and hands-on feedback.
  • Establish and scale durable operating rhythms, including daily/weekly processes and accountability practices.
  • Leverage AI tools like Gong and Salesforce to increase selling effectiveness and reduce manual administration.
  • Transition from a player-coach role into full-time people management, including recruiting and hiring top talent.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SaaS or technology sales.
  • 5+ years of experience selling into higher education (Student Affairs, Wellness, or related departments).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a formal or informal leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals in the high six-figure ACV range.
  • Experience working in a startup or growth-stage company.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and strong CRM discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep domain expertise in EdTech or Higher Education, including experience selling to senior institutional buyers (Provosts, VPs, etc.).
  • Experience using AI tools (such as Claude) and sales enablement platforms like Gong to improve performance.
  • Familiarity with student success, wellness, or institutional research data platforms.
