About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage growth strategy and close high-value deals for defense and federal accounts across the Navy, DoD, and federal defense industrial base
  • Prospect and engage senior decision-makers, including Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and NAVSEA leadership
  • Own the end-to-end growth strategy for assigned accounts, from initial prospecting to negotiating and closing 7- and 8-figure deals
  • Build long-term relationships to influence capital and operational decisions, earning status as a trusted advisor
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and product teams to deliver tailored solutions and maximize customer impact
  • Conduct product demonstrations and lead value-based discussions to solve complex operational challenges
  • Travel to customer sites and industrial locations up to 80% of the time

Requirements

  • Business, economics, engineering, or sciences degree
  • Proven track record of closing long-term engagements and developing territories from scratch
  • Experience leading sales pitches and complex value discussions across various professional environments
  • Ability to work with internal and external teams, including procurement and legal, to scope solutions and build business cases
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time to remote industrial sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling complex solutions or value-added services
  • Experience selling for a startup or a new product line/business unit
  • Domain expertise in government (federal/state/local), power, utilities, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing
