About the role

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit new business through cold calling, outside sales calls, networking, and referrals
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet budgeted revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system
  • Prepare proposals and contracts adhering to brand and hotel standards
  • Monitor local market trends and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with General Manager and Area Sales leadership on promotions
  • Attend industry events and participate in local business organizations
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred
  • Marriott brand experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Windsor Locks, Hartford, or Greater Springfield market is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales CRM platforms (SalesPro, CI/TY, or equivalent)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
