About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit new business through cold calling, outside sales calls, networking, and referrals
- Manage and grow existing client relationships to ensure repeat business
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet budgeted revenue goals
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system
- Prepare proposals and contracts adhering to brand and hotel standards
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with General Manager and Area Sales leadership on promotions
- Attend industry events and participate in local business organizations
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred
- Marriott brand experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Windsor Locks, Hartford, or Greater Springfield market is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales CRM platforms (SalesPro, CI/TY, or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
