About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for productions, focusing on group sales and subscriptions
- Research and prospect new audience segments, including corporate clients, community groups, and schools
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to closing and post-event follow-up
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing group leaders, repeat buyers, and community partners
- Oversee the Student Matinee series, including outreach to educators and managing reservations
- Handle inbound ticket sales and service inquiries via phone and email to ensure a high-quality customer experience
- Collaborate with Marketing and Development teams to support promotional campaigns and donor-related ticketing
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional sales experience, preferably in live entertainment, performing arts, or hospitality
- Proven experience using ticketing platforms (e.g., AXS, Ticketmaster) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to prospect and close deals
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with diverse audiences
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required by performance schedules
Benefits
- Competitive base salary range of $55,000-$62,000 plus commission
