About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to define strategies and approaches for specific territories and accounts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, building long-lasting relationships to increase the installed base.
  • Perform technical discoveries, product demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Articulate Samsara's value proposition and explain how IoT solutions solve industry-specific obstacles.
  • Guide installers on best practices for hardware deployment and product installation.
  • Develop sample proof-of-concept scripts using open APIs to solve real-world customer problems.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, customer success, or technical customer support role.
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Foundational understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and cloud-connected hardware.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, computer networking, and business systems integration.
  • Proven ability to manage hardware and/or software product evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise experience in a pre-sales environment.
  • Proficiency in task automation scripting using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and Power Take Off (PTO) applications.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
