Sales Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Create custom technical demos and solution pitches using tools like Postman and AI to demonstrate API capabilities
• Conduct deep technical discovery across complex customer cases from qualification through to contract signature
• Perform scalable solutions architecture work focusing on custom API integrations
• Collaborate with CSM teams on upsell and revenue initiatives to identify growth opportunities
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and internal training on products and the payments market
• Manage structured handovers to post-sales implementation teams

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or a pre-sales technical role
• Background in engineering (mechanical, software, or similar)
• Solid understanding of APIs and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Experience in a SaaS or e-commerce environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI in demos or pitches
• Exposure to external customers and merchant interactions
