Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Rebuild SE tooling, including demo environments and POC provisioning, as reproducible CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
• Eliminate local dependencies to ensure the SE team can spin up clean, branded environments via pipelines
• Manage SE infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm, ensuring all configurations are versioned and peer-reviewed
• Act as a field-representative quality gate by validating release candidates against complex, real-world customer cluster topologies
• Build automated test scenarios that replicate edge cases, such as multi-cloud, spot-heavy, and restrictive RBAC environments
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to product and engineering teams based on field-found defects

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes expertise (CKA or CKAD certification preferred)
• Strong CI/CD engineering experience building non-trivial pipelines from scratch
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm
• Multi-cloud experience across AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Scripting fluency in Python, Go, or Bash
• A "break it" instinct with a focus on edge cases and failure modes

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as an SDET, Platform Engineer, or SRE
• Exposure to FinOps or Kubernetes cost optimization
• Experience standing up sandbox environments for technical sales organizations
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
