Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Executives to drive technical strategy and solution design across the full sales cycle
• Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer requirements, data environments, and constraints
• Design and position solutions that align Aquant’s capabilities with customer business and technical goals
• Lead high-stakes technical engagements, delivering demos and presentations to secure executive buy-in
• Translate AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and platform architecture into business-relevant messaging
• Articulate system architecture, data flows, security, and integration approaches (APIs, CRM, FSM, ERP)
• Drive technical validation through POCs, pilots, and evaluations
• Partner with product and engineering teams to address advanced requirements and edge cases
• Provide structured feedback from the field to inform product development

Requirements

• 5+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Pre-Sales role
• Experience selling complex AI or SaaS/analytics platforms to enterprise customers
• Proven ability to engage with senior technical stakeholders (CIO, CTO, enterprise architects)
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures (data lakes, pipelines, ETL, APIs)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts
• Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other FSM/ERP platforms
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise security
• Exceptional ability to translate technical detail into business value
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to build custom demonstrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in service operations, field service management, or industrial/service organizations
• Background in data science, analytics, or AI-driven applications
• Experience with POCs, pilots, or enterprise implementation discussions
