Sales Director

Responsibilities

• Hire, nurture, and lead a team of world-class sales talent
• Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition and expansion strategy for the region
• Lead the verticalization strategy for retail and consumer goods, developing sales playbooks and messaging frameworks
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to build a robust retail vertical go-to-market motion
• Align go-to-market teams to execute the FY plan and represent a single vision to customers
• Coach the team through the sales process and provide accurate sales forecasting
• Act as the "voice of Braze" in prospect, customer, and industry forums

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in sales
• At least 5 years of experience leading a team of at least five quota-carrying mid-market Account Executives
• Proven ability to recruit, retain, and develop top talent
• Experience leading teams through the full SaaS customer lifecycle
• Demonstrated success developing vertical go-to-market strategies, ideally in retail or consumer goods
• Strong commercial and legal negotiation skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Sales Operations
• Strong technical and business acumen

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience selling Mobile or Marketing Technology
• Prior experience selling into retail and/or consumer brand prospects
• Prior experience in a startup technology company
