About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and Ascend's value proposition
- Execute prospecting, cold calling, cold emailing, and booking demos
- Own and implement strategic outreach initiatives and AI workflows
- Establish repeatable processes to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals
- Experiment with different messaging, cadences, and channels
- Collaborate with marketing and GTM functions to identify new opportunities
- Leverage data and reporting to optimize sales development functions
- Mentor new SDRs and provide/receive team feedback
Requirements
- Proven experience in cold calling and outreach
- Strong communication skills (phone and written)
- Self-motivated learner with a resourceful mindset
- Creative thinker eager to experiment with new strategies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Collaborative team player
- SaaS SDR experience is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or Clay
- Exposure to startup environments and navigating ambiguity
